Blue Ant Media offers marketers a unique opportunity to align with some of Canada’s most influential brands across television, digital, print, mobile and experiential platforms. This role will allow the candidate to create genuine connections between brands and audiences. This individual will focus their efforts on selling digital media across Blue Ant’s properties and partner sites. This will include YouTube inventory Blue Ant’s new AVOD offering

Reporting to the Vice President, Media Sales this position requires a driven, creative, and strategic sales person who can open doors and deliver results. The successful candidate will be creative and innovated with a proven track record of digital sales and driving revenue.

Core Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage direct digital video and pre roll business across Blue Ant’s Digital channels
  • Work with media team to leverage client leads and collaboratively develop and execute digital media campaigns
  • Build and grow revenue within a territory of agencies, and direct clients
  • Have an interest and understanding of gaming/Esports space
  • Leverage existing personal network of contacts and relationships at major agencies across Canada to drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with all Media Sales teams to support revenue growth and integration efforts across Broadcast, Digital, Social Media, and Print disciplines.
  • Rapidly acquire a thorough understanding of all Blue Ant Media’s digital offerings and execute go-to-market strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal Blue Ant Media departments to deliver new revenue opportunities.
  • Constantly challenge status quo to drive maximum value for clients, and partners.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions and internal weekly status meetings.
  • Assist in developing client presentations.
  • Provide exemplary customer service.
  • Maintain superior industry knowledge relating to trends, platforms, opportunities and relationship management.

Key Qualifications & Experience

  • 3+ years of digital media sales experience, or relevant digital buying or planning experience
  • Proven track record of selling digital video inventory as asset
  • Experience and interest in gaming/Esports an asset.
  • Self-motivated to learn, problem solve and manage priorities
  • Detail oriented, focused and organized
  • Consistent results in achieving revenue goals
  • Established industry relationships on client and agency side
  • Ability to conceive and implement unique and creative sales approaches
  • Thorough understanding of the MCN, Influencer, YouTube, Programmatic and AVOD landscapes
  • Ability to conceptualize creative solutions with a focus on storytelling for multiple screens (traditional, digital, mobile)
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Strong communicator, able to excel in a fast-paced team environment
  • Superior skills and direct working knowledge of the digital media sales cycle, including video, social, and content marketing
  • Strong organization skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Must have great interpersonal skills, team builder and team player; an ability to relate professionally within all levels of the organization
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Diploma/degree, post-grad certification in Media or Advertising an asset
