Cinematic Artist

Within this role you will be responsible for:

  • Directing/creating and implementation of cutscenes and interactive dialogues in the Unreal Engine, including the placement of cameras and actors on the stage (occasionally working with outsourced, actors, and sometimes even acting - for placeholders needs),
  • Maintaining the balance between gameplay and visual narration,
  • The sense of pace, acting, and time coordination.

Job requirements

Feel free to apply if you have:

  • At least basic animation skills,
  • Experience working in gamedev or film industry,
  • Thorough understanding of the basics of directing,
  • Good knowledge of cinematography, editing, the sense and ability to create a desired and specific mood, tone, and emotions,
  • Experience in preparing dramatic or dynamic scenes,
  • Ability to use the Unreal Engine (sequencer) or willing to learn it,
  • Team player attitude,
  • Ability to both be creative and able to adapt to the change when it’s needed,
  • Problem-solving mind,
  • Very good communication skills (English is a must).

It would also be nice if you have

  • Experience in preparing and co-directing motion capture sessions,
  • Experience in using the following visualization tools: Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro Fusion and/or an equivalent editor,
  • Previous experience in character and camera animation in any 3d software,
  • Experience in creating storyboards (2D skills),
  • Professional knowledge of how to use color and light in movies and games,
  • Understanding of the game development process,
  • Passion for creating narrative-driven games (especially horrors).
