The Warcraft Arclight Rumble team seeks a talented senior engineer to join the Client group. You can apply your existing experience and gain experience in many areas. The Client group is responsible for many features and systems such as client architecture, content delivery, loading systems, UI features, SDK integrations, performance and optimization, build pipeline, tools, and more.

You will develop client features and systems while coordinating across disciplines with designers, artists, and other engineers. Everyone on our team helps to influence the game direction, and you should have a passion for quality and player experience.

This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The home studio for this role is Irvine, CA.

What you will do:

  • Collaborate with designers, artists, and engineers to ensure a robust and reliable game experience on various mobile devices.

  • Develop, iterate, and improve many client features and systems.

  • Plan and implement features, systems, or projects with minimal direction from the lead engineer and sometimes oversee the work of other engineers.

  • Support team members of all disciplines and facilitate daily success for the entire team.

  • Help find areas of development that can be streamlined or improved by applying best practices.

To succeed, you must have:

  • Experience performing in a senior software engineering role or equivalent.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Robust and proven programming skills in at least one language.

  • Professional game development experience while working as part of a team.

  • Experience in the design and architecture of client and game systems.

  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

  • Experience with mentorship or sponsorship.

  • Experience developing for Android or iOS.

  • Experience planning and managing medium and large features or projects.

  • Experience programming in C# and other languages.

  • Experience in Unity.

  • Experience with game client optimization.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $101,000.00 - $186,754.00 Annual. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
