Global Insights is looking for a skilled Platform Data Analyst to work with petabytes of cross-franchise and platform data to communicate KPIs to senior finance, platform, and product leaders across the entire company. This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The home studio for this role is Irvine, CA.
Responsibilities
Partner with both internal and external cross-functional teams to report business-facing KPIs that measure the health and success of the Blizzard ecosystem, including new title and launch support, partner integrations, and ongoing platform evolution.
Comprehensively address high-level and detailed strategic questions by clarifying business requirements, developing hypotheses, identifying best-fit modality, and building an analytical structure to address the inquiry.
Develop descriptive and predictive models for key metrics such as Lifetime Value (LTV), player segmentation, and user journey tracking, aiding in strategic planning and decision-making.
Conduct multi-disciplinary analytics studies using a wide range of data (consumer insights, user research, merchandising, etc.) to identify the impact of large strategic initiatives across the business.
Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, Franchise & Commercial Leadership, Product teams, and regional analytics partners, utilizing your deep understanding of business data-at-scale to deliver actionable insights and offer data-based solutions.
Design and develop clean data models and transformation layers to streamline data processing and enable robust analytics, along with the ability to write optimized queries against direct data sources, knowing when to use each approach effectively.
Leverage tools such as Tableau, Big Query, DBT, Airflow, & Git to deliver insights and provide visibility to key metrics across the business, to enable self-service wherever possible.
Requirements
3+ years of work experience in Gaming, Data Analytics, Product Analytics, Data Science, Business Intelligence, or Product Management roles
Analytical orientation and strong problem-solving skills, demonstrated by the ability to understand core business needs and get to the root of the inquiry.
Curious, internally-motivated self-starter with ability to plan, organize, and establish priorities to manage multiple projects and achieve results in a timely, scalable manner.
Have the ability to structure concise, clear presentations of findings based on large sets of complex data, and effectively present insights to any level in the organization with appropriate technical depth.
Strong quantitative skills with high proficiency in analytical query writing using SQL.
Pluses
BS degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics, or other quantitative field
Experience communicating and advocating with analytical insights to executive-level audiences to inform decision-making
Demonstrated experience with some or all of the following: data modeling, data visualization, statistics
Experience with cloud computing platforms and big data (such as Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, Hadoop, Teradata, and/or Azure)
Adept in at least one visualization tool, such as Tableau; R or Python knowledge is a plus
Familiar with agile project management tools such as Jira and Confluence

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $34.28 - $63.42 Hourly. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
