Game Security Analyst
Your Mission
Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a highly motivated individual to join its Game Security Operations group. The group’s core duties include fraud mitigation, ensuring game and service integrity, research and investigation into game exploitation and abuse/cheating, investigating account takeovers, and account security for all of Blizzard Entertainment’s online games and services. In short, keeping our games and services free of anyone who may want to disrupt them..
Location fixed:
This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this role is Irvine, CA, or Austin, TX.
What you bring to the table:
Find and prevent fraud by reviewing transactions and accounts
Find, investigate, and enforce our policies regarding in-game exploitation, cheating, and exploitation for our games and services
Identify trends and patterns, summarize key findings, and recommend anti-fraud and game-integrity processes and system enhancements
Manage and respond to escalations from internal and external parties within designated service levels
Minimum requirements
Experience
Knowledge of current trends in in-game exploitation and cheating and/or online fraud
Knowledge and skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Knowledge of MS Office, especially of MS Excel
Passion for video games
Bonus points
Experience
Experience working in the video gaming industry
Experience with SQL and databases, especially with Google Cloud Platform’s BigQuery
Experience with Splunk and SPL
Experience with scripting/programming languages like Python
Knowledge and skills
Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related disciplines
Familiarity with Machine Learning
Proficiency with languages other than English
Knowledge and/or experience with video game cheating/exploitation, fraud investigations

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $21.63 - $40.02 Hourly. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed. While we strive to provide competitive offers to successful candidates, new hire compensation is negotiable.
