Position Overview

Blizzard Entertainment seeks a talented individual, who is responsible for leading community management for Overwatch franchise. We are looking for an experienced manager with proven experience in community management and social media engagement.

The ideal candidate is an individual with in-depth game playing experience and understanding of the game industry, its community and social media dynamic, and the streaming environment with particular emphasis on Youtube, Twitch, and Facebook.

The person needs to be creative, self-motivated, and proactive and should be able to set the best community and influencer marketing strategies and communicate well with both HQ and local stakeholders for all the projects.

Responsibilities

  • Support developing and managing community strategy for Korea market
  • Manage Overwatch owned media (Battlenet app curation, Youtube channel management, and other social channels such as Facebook and Twitter on a daily basis.
  • Be a key advocate for influencer marketing and influencer relations.
  • Collaborate with other teams/departments to develop and execute the company’s integrated publishing plan for Overwatch
  • Provide editorial direction, planning, and guidance to our community publishing efforts.
  • Design creative communication and engagement strategies.
  • Provide consultation and community feedback to leadership to ensure optimal engagement, community impact, and enhanced company/franchise reputation.
  • Evaluate and analyze the impact of community programs and make the adjustment for continued enhancement and improvement.
  • Develop reports on community activities and pulse/voice of the community.
  • Develop partnerships with gaming communities, influencers to maximize awareness of company driven communication and promotion.
  • Build strong relationships within the team, the HQ community, and the stakeholders within the company and the industry.
  • Effective management of projects which are assigned to team members to ensure better performance and result.

Requirements

  • Exceptional insight into social media trends and gaming community and its behavior
  • A passionate gamer
  • High-level understanding of social media platforms, forums, and blogs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, planning, reporting skills
  • Strong project management and time management skills
  • Exceptional writing skills and practical experience in writing/editing articles/posts
  • Knowledge of Blizzard Entertainment games and Korea’s game industry
  • Business level of English skill

Pluses

  • 2+ years’ experience in community management, social media, influencer marketing, Influencer relations and owned media management (job title may change depending on candidate’s experience)
  • The actual experience of Youtube channel management with success cases
  • Photoshop or relevant art asset management for creative asset control and related agency communication.
  • Previous work experience in the game industry
  • Previous work experience in online/viral/digital marketing or content related business
  • Personal social network with the game or entertainment-related community, influencers or partners
  • Excellent English proficiency both verbal and written
