As the Associate Director of Product Management for Battle.net’s portfolio of Online Game Services you will oversee the organization that builds the cloud systems which power amazing experiences like friends, matchmaking, text and voice communication, leaderboards, presence, clubs, just to name a few, which Game Teams leverage as key building blocks to develop their games and that Battle.net uses in our PC/web/mobile experiences. We are looking for an experienced product leader with a deep passion for driving premium consumer experiences, a desire for frictionless integration for those leveraging our platform, a people manager dedicated to the betterment of their team, and someone who can help Battle.net be a destination for meaningful social connections between players.

This role is anticipated to be either an on-site or hybrid position. The potential home studio locations for this role is Irvine, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Vision, Strategy, and Roadmaps: Use creative and analytical skills to define an inspiring vision and detailed, actionable strategies and roadmaps that align with the overarching product vision and business goals.

  • Alignment and Prioritization: Communicate effectively to build alignment, prioritize product decisions that create competitive advantages, and establish a framework for adapting to change.

  • Lead Multiple Teams: Collaborate with Product Management leads and cross-functional partners to drive efficient and effective execution of plans and goals.

  • Voice of the Player: Dive deep into how and why players engage with our games and related experiences. Represent their needs with passion throughout planning and development.

  • Voice of the Game Developer: Build strong relationships with game developer partners at Blizzard, Activision, and Microsoft Game Studios. Use this empathy to deliver impactful features and seamless integration experiences.

  • Champion and Develop People: Create a collaborative, innovative, and fun environment where teams and individuals feel empowered, safe, and supported to do their best work.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of Product Management experience, with a focus on consumer products.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing, developing, and attracting diverse top talent.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.

  • Proven ability to manage a product portfolio and multiple projects through the software development lifecycle.

  • Experience in vision setting, product strategy development, and leadership in roadmap management.

  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences, fostering constructive debate.

  • Strong ability to build collaborative relationships with peers and stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use competitive and industry insights to shape product strategies.

  • Experience building scalable platform features serving millions of global users.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $124,400.00 - $230,300.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
