Blizzard Entertainment is seeking an enthusiastic Analytics Engineer to join our Global Insights team. You will help build data models, data products, data tools, & telemetry specs used by our team & all of our game teams.

Our Global Insights team is highly collaborative and you will have the opportunity to flex into any related analytics areas that excite or interest you. You will work closely with our Engineering teams, Analytics teams, and Server engineers on Blizzard’s game teams to help deliver our best in class analytics solutions.

This role is a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this role is Irvine, CA.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in Analytics Engineering or closely related field

  • 1 years of experience in gaming analytics or a related field

  • Experience with SQL & Python

  • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment that iterates quickly and values results

  • Excellent communication (in person & virtually) among both technical and business stakeholders

  • Ability to follow instruction and work in a highly collaborative team environment


  • 3+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering or closely related field

  • 3+ years of experience in gaming or a related tech industry

  • Experience with a large scale data warehouse (~Billions of rows)

  • Experience with a cloud data warehouse

  • Experience with DBT or Dataform & Git

  • Experience with Data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, etc.)

  • Experience with Cloud platforms GCP, Azure or AWS

  • Experience with other miscellaneous engineering tools Docker, APIs, GraphQL, Unit Testing, CI-CD, Automation, etc.

  • Contributions to open-source or personal projects

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $37.26 - $68.93 Hourly. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
