BGFG is offering an exciting opportunity to head up a new editorial team for Esports Verdict, a site covering the latest esports news, interviews, strategies and player profiles.

The role requires a broad knowledge across the esports space (the big shooters, primarily, but also RTS stuff like Starcraft and even fighting and racing games). Prior experience covering esports is essential, as is experience of content commissioning and scheduling on WordPress, team management and a robust list of industry contacts.

As well as managing the day-to-day editorial coverage on the site, the successful applicant will be expected to work closely with the Managing Editor and senior company management to develop a long-term editorial plan for the site, implement and maintain best SEO practices, and ensure the site delivers to set traffic and revenue targets.

This is an excellent opening for an editor looking to specialise in this fast growing market, or for an exceptionally talented and experienced writer looking to develop their career further.

The position is Manchester based, and the company operates a company-wide profit share scheme.
