This is an opportunity to be part of an evolving and growing team Finance team. The Digital Revenue Accountant will support the Digital Revenue Reporting Manager in all aspects of royalty statements, to ensure the company is reporting correctly and maximizing profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the European lead on the “Global Digital Operations Review” project
  • Pricing: remain in regular contact with colleagues within ZEL & ZMI’s Sales, Analytics & Finance teams, to ensure processes around setting and controlling digital prices are running smoothly. This will ensure:
  • Consistent pricing across the group
  • That full revenues are collected from 1st & 3rd party partners
  • A consistent approach to digital price promotions
  • Reviewing statements from Digital & Licensing partners: working closely with Sales & Legal to gain detailed knowledge of each of the customers contracts in order to check; any minimum guarantees are set at an appropriate level and are paid in full by the due date, customers report in format agreed per their contract, correct royalties are reported, customers reporting stock are fully reconciled, royalty reports and payments are received on time
  • Working closely with the BI team to provide regular analysis to Sales to help with future decision making. This will include:
  • Regular analysis of digital price promotions
  • Summaries of partners reporting and payment schedules
  • Year to date performance updates for each of the 1st & 3rd party partners
  • Devising a process to automate the loading of statements into Oracle to avoid errors; working closely with teams across the business to get a more efficient process in place, producing a detailed set of instructions around this process, building checks to ensure accuracy of data, before and after it is loaded to Oracle
  • Develop and maintain a good relationship with the global Sales, Analytics, Finance and BI teams with whom constant interaction will be necessary for this role
  • Flexibility with time management as this is a global role
  • Other Ad-hoc tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Ability to work on several tasks at once with frequent interruptions while meeting sensitive deadlines
  • Must be a team player and be willing to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail is a must, with an organised approach to workload and tasks
  • Embraces change and can be flexible with changing priorities and deadlines as the project progresses
  • Strong initiative: eager to get stuck in, learn new software and improve on existing processes
  • Confidence in communicating with colleagues at all levels; on the phone, over video conferencing and in person
  • Approachable, helpful and friendly; able to build good rapport and working relationships with colleagues across different departments and entities
  • Nearly or newly qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Excellent analytical skills: experience in analysis/reporting or a science/mathematics background would be an advantage
  • Advanced Excel skills critical; comfortable with all formulae and producing user friendly analysis
