BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America is seeking an experienced, resourceful, organized, highly collaborative, and hands-on Senior Producer with deep cross-functional experience in game development and publishing to help lead multiplatform projects for global audiences (from pre-production to launch and live ops). Our ideal candidate possesses proven organizational and leadership skills, is well versed in multiple areas of game development and global publishing, and has a solid grasp of the latest trends in online, console, and GaaS games.

Flexible, Remote and Work From Home options are available for this position until approximately April 2022. Afterwards we expect all employees to join us at our new offices in Irvine, California where a hybrid work schedule will be observed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams on assigned project.
  • Drives all facets of launch process and live operations, partnering with global internal teams, external development partners and vendors.
  • Works closely with internal teams and external partners to develop product plans, design docs/specifications, adjust resources, scope project milestones, and keep timelines on schedule.
  • Evaluates game designs; acquisition, retention, and monetization related features, systems, mechanics, and content; and propose/negotiate strategies to implement improvements.
  • Ability to review early concepts, resource plans and business terms to support our Business Development team in sourcing new project opportunities.
  • Navigate a labyrinth of creative and technical requirements relentlessly to forecast obstacles; expose risks; anticipate and remove roadblocks, and collaborate across disciplines to find solutions and establish best practices.
  • Accountable for budgeting, scheduling, managing and tracking tasks, to mitigate risks and ensure project(s) are on schedule, within budget and quality targets.
  • Define, measure, and analyze key success metrics, and rigorously optimize games once they go live. Bring a feedback-driven perspective to the table and an ability to adapt to change based on consumer insights and/or marketing trends.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and reports, as needed or requested.
  • When applicable, support live game operations and address issues wherever and whenever they occur; ensure quality and stability of the service.
  • Be the champion and central point for all production related activities: the successful applicant will be the primary escalation and contact point for assigned project.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • 7-10+ years of experience working game development and/or publishing on multiple game launches (strong preference for console, live ops; GaaS projects) with at least 3 year working in a management or supervisory role.
  • The successful candidate will have worked on console and PC projects from concept to release.
  • Expertise in two or more development and publishing disciplines, including project management, product management, localization, QA, Release Management, game design, engineering, network operations, art/design, marketing, customer service, etc.
  • Highly proficient with game industry standard software tools, design documents, production processes, and best practices (budgets, project management, localization, bug reports and defect tracking, etc.).
  • Ultra-collaborative approach to development and publishing with the ability and willingness to pro-actively lead, support, and assist in multiple areas, across multiple regions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment, managing multiple simultaneous priorities.
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and project management skills and experience with metrics-driven decision making.
  • Possess a creative, forward-thinking, results-focused and most importantly, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Knowledge of monetization models with solid understanding of microtransaction and virtual currency based models, including acquisition, retention, and monetization strategies.
  • Strong command of GaaS landscape; titles, their features, mechanics. Ability to analyze competitive products for their strengths and weaknesses.
  • Superb communication, time-management, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work with cross-cultural, international teams.
  • Experience working on free-to-play and/or console projects is a plus.
  • Fluency in Japanese is a plus.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position oversees a small but growing team of associate / producers.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
