Avalanche Studios Group and its creative division Expansive Worlds are looking for a passionate, business-minded, and analytical Product Owner to take business ownership of one of their games.

The Position

As a Product Owner, you will drive the future product and business development of a title or a franchise.

As the leader of the commercial success and vision for a live product, you will own the P&L. Your responsibilities include setting the long-term strategy for the game, focusing on delivering the product(s) which serve to represent our communities best, and defining business and quality goals.

You are agile and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You define your priorities according to your goals, you communicate those goals and priorities masterfully, and your strong leadership skills have a proven track record of driving solutions cross-functionally. Your knowledge of the business behind video games in general and how to serve the communities that congregate around games is of vital importance, as is the ability to think and act strategically. You have a high level of command of utilising data to champion customer-centric insights, using them to define the roadmap and evaluate results.

Responsibilities

  • You are the P&L owner for the product you are directing
  • You are a key member of the division leadership team, holding a seat at the table, which provide direction to those in the division
  • Set the long-term business and development roadmap for the product
  • Research, assess, evaluate, and produce business plans and visions for current and future business opportunities
  • Champion data fluency, ensuring that the systems, reports and dashboards put in place support the definition of the product roadmap, including feature set and resourcing
  • You are market aware, identifying new trends and key opportunities for innovation
  • You are community-centric - know the audience, evaluate player patterns, and spread insights to internal teams about what drives and motivates our players and communities
  • You direct the focus for the marketing and development teams to optimise our opportunities and drive towards the business goals you set
  • Provide motivation and direction to ensure that project goals and deliverables are clearly communicated and achieved

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years in interactive entertainment, with at least 1+ years experience in a product leadership role at a tech or gaming company.
  • Experience with owning and managing a P&L, a product roadmap, crafting product requirements, and specifications
  • Ample knowledge about the video games market, user acquisition, and optimisation of the player funnel
  • Management experience, with a proven track record of growing and empowering direct reports
  • Extensive knowledge of working in a KPI-focused environment and delivering ROI
  • Experience with forecasting and creating monthly/yearly/long term budgets
  • Fluent English and great communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Collaborative, proactive, responsible, and self-motivated
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Team player
