This role is an integral part of the Accounting Organization in Palo Alto, CA. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is looking for a broad range of responsibilities in a dynamic fast-growing and high energy company. The candidate will be part of the team to ensure the integrity of financial information, GL maintenance, posting of journal entries and reconciliation of GL and sub-ledger accounts. The candidate will need to have a strong hands-on accounting and analysis and be able to work independently as well as collaborating with other business partners.

What you'll be doing:

  • Prepare monthly accounting entries for various business transactions (such as cash, prepaid assets, fixed/intangible assets, leases, accruals, intercompany, and allocations)
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations and reporting schedules, providing commentary and variance analysis
  • Assist with financial and tax audits
  • Assist with tax filings (i.e., property and business), where applicable
  • Documenting and monitor internal controls as part of operational work
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
  • Perform other special projects and analyses as directed by management

Your background and who you are:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Strong experience and knowledge in U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Detail oriented and able to effectively organize and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment across all levels of management, business and operational functions
  • Quick learner, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
  • Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution and presentation skills
  • Work closely with the different business partners in obtaining information for financial close
  • NetSuite ERP experience would be preferred
  • CPA and experience in public accounting is a plus
