AppLovin is seeking a General Manager who is highly organized, has phenomenal communication skills, proven experience in coordinating a cross-functional team and a stellar track record in shipping games. The General Manager’s main responsibility is to support and drive AppLovin CIS distributed development strategy, process, scheduling, monitoring, milestones, tracking and execution of AppLovin’s CIS distributed development team. You will oversee teams of Artist, Designers, Engineers, and others in product and task related development for a range of AppLovin’s game studios. Qualified candidates will be self-starters, able to multitask, be dependable, and have concise execution during times of high stress.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our partner studios which enable the group to look forward and plan out interdepartmental tasks without friction
  • Define, scope, and track short-term and long-term projects for AppLovin game studios
  • Communicate status and change requests appropriately downward and upward
  • Coordinate and run meetings with department leads and heads of studio
  • Provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance revenue goals against technical constraints to negotiate release schedules
  • Manage team members' workload and workflow
  • Knowledge sharing of production best practices and learning’s
  • Identifying project risks and drive mitigations
  • Discovering inefficiencies in production pipelines and driving solutions to completion.
  • Prepare status reports for senior leadership

Requirements

  • 8+ years of internal or outsourced game production experience
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
  • P&L management with responsibility for hitting targets
  • Experience shipping one or more major mobile f2p titles as an Executive Producer, Art Producer, or Development Director
  • Proven people-management and leadership experiences, including significant experience as a hiring manager and a culture ambassador
  • Extensive operating and management experience on the ground in an Eastern European country required.
  • Built, hired, managed and retained teams in the CIS region
  • Comfortable making decisions in a complex environment with incomplete information
  • Data-driven approach to decision making
  • Unrelenting self-motivation, positive attitude, and initiative
  • Knowledge of production methodologies, including SCRUM, Waterfall, Kanban
  • Knowledge of MS Project, Omniplan, Jira, Asana, and project tracking tools
  • Written and verbal mastery of the English language
  • Strong verbal and written communication
