We are looking for an experienced animator to assist our animation team in producing 1st person/view model animations for our projects. The weaponry and visual style must remain realistic to the time period, and the primary audience we are aiming towards would expect a high level of detail to be placed to the operation of the weapons. We are looking for someone with experience with the FPS genre, who can balance a sense of realism when it comes to timings, weight and framing in first person, and satisfying gameplay mechanics.

You will be working with a multitude of weapon types. With each weapon, you will be supplied with a list of primary animations to be completed and delivered within certain milestones. The requirements for each weapon will be different, depending on their operation. The Animator will be provided with a Character rig, Weapon Rig, and an idle pose for each weapon. These will be provided in a Maya format, and the final animations will be expected to be delivered in Maya, with FBX exports.

A spec will be provided also, to give the animator guidelines for what is expected in quality, timings etc. This will be in the form of a completed weapon. We will also provide as much reference as we can for each weapon, in the form of videos, images and descriptions about the functionality.

Workload estimated as full time until December (dependent on delivery speed and rates), then reviewed subject to demand
