As the Head of EMEA Business Development for Amazon Game Studios, you will have an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver on our global strategy. Your responsibilities will be to build strong relationships with the most dynamic and exciting game development teams in this diverse and talented region, identifying and supporting the delivery of new and unique gameplay experiences leveraging the cloud. You will also play a key role in the continued growth of our EMEA organisation as we continue to launch new products and franchises in the region.

The ideal candidate will possess a business background that enables them to interact effectively at the C-Suite/VP/Studio Director level and with product teams. They will have a deep understanding of the games industry, solid business judgment, strong relationship management skills, a customer-obsessed and collaborative approach, while continuing to be focused on future growth and trends. The successful candidate will have deep experience and knowledge of product development, game development infrastructure, and a passion for helping game companies innovate and create new and exciting experiences.

Roles and Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong relationships with the most talented external game studios in EMEA
Work with global BD group to align on strategy, prioritize opportunities and green light projects
Own and write the documentation to support and recommend tangible opportunities
Work effectively across both internal and external organizations to manage and execute game projects from start to finish, delivering impactful results
Communicate progress clearly with external and internal stakeholders, and our leadership team
Represent Amazon Game Studios at key industry events in EMEA
Support regional rollouts for new Amazon Game Studios franchises in EMEA

Basic Qualifications

BA degree required
Intimate knowledge and understanding of the video game developer landscape in EMEA, as well as strong personal connections with external studio leadership teams
10+ years of relevant work experience in business development / external development roles in the games industry
Passion for games and game developers with high degree of customer obsession
Ability to thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
Ability to communicate vision, drive execution and work across a cross-functional team

Preferred Qualifications

Excellent understanding of how the games industry operates and the unique characteristics and culture.
Ability to think strategically, innovatively and creatively, using sound business judgment and quantitative skills
Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss game concepts, earning trust with game teams
Outstanding presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences
Proven leadership, problem solving, project management skills, and strong attention to detail
Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; strong bias for action
Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
Experience with cloud, server and/or infrastructure technologies and business models
