Amazon Games is seeking a motivational Lead Producer (Program Manager) to join our Seattle based team to manage the life cycle of our first party games as a service. Your role will define and document our development processes, report on our progress, set objectives, analyze data, drive improvements that are quantified with metrics, and influence resource allocation to continually improve our team efficiency at delivering the best customer experience. You will build upon your skills of allocating team resources with a clear path to franchise leadership.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of game team management and planning. You understand games as a service, their limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions, and reasons behind architectural decision. You provide context (past, current, and future) for business/technology choices and a long-term perspective. You create plans that have clear, measurable success criteria. You clearly communicate progress and outcomes. You streamline and/or eliminate excess process. You are an excellent communicator. You write effective narratives and present them effectively to Directors and VPs. You routinely deliver the right things with limited guidance.

Responsibilities:

  • Define, monitor and refine resource allocations to optimize our efforts to deliver to the highest standards
  • Identify, negotiate with and manage multiple contributing external art, engineering and design vendors
  • Manage feature iteration and refinement to meet and exceed performance metrics
  • Work with finance and demand planning to forecast and track entire project P&L
  • Offer analysis and alternative approaches to achieve project goals
  • Experience as a senior program manager or senior producer for a worldwide game as a service
  • Deep knowledge of the mechanics of free-to-play games and the latest trends in mobile gaming
  • Demonstrated experience delivering games as a service using Agile or Kanban methodologies
  • Demonstrated track record of building and managing game P&Ls
  • 2+ years managing scope and capacity planning for international games as a service
  • Strong creative and technical writing skills
  • Experience in Unreal 4
  • Passionate gamer with in-depth knowledge of games across multiple platforms
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
