3+ years’ experience as a game designer working in the games industry
Experience creating end-to-end game experiences from the concept stage to final
BA, technical degree, or equivalent work experience
In-depth knowledge of game theory and design best practices
A portfolio that demonstrates process and capabilities in crafting compelling gameplay
Working knowledge of C# or equivalent scripting language
Deep proficiency with game development software and tools, such as game engines, Maya, etc.

The Alexa team is seeking a creative, game designer to join our fast-paced games team. In this role, you will be focused on designing and implementing fantastic, immersive games and entertainment. You'll get to work on the latest Amazon devices and craft compelling and memorable experiences for customers around the world.

Job responsibilities

Design and implement a world-class game experience
Work with developers to ensure your content and features are delivered to the highest quality
Work with engineers and artists to refine our workflows and improve our tooling
Develop inventive new game ideas for all of Amazon's devices
Quickly prototype design ideas and iterate through playtesting and player feedback
Mentor other game designers
