Akshon Esports is an esports media company with the goal of creating quality engaging and entertaining content pieces. As a team with a passion for esports, we aim to elevate the bar when it comes to esports content and storytelling through our videos.
We’re looking for a skilled and dedicated writer to join our video content team at Akshon Esports. The video content writer will be tasked with creating high-quality copy for the Akshon Esports YouTube channel with a focus on esports/gaming related stories that can engage and inspire viewers across.
Responsibilities
As a Video Content Writer, you will be required to brainstorm, pitch, research, and write compelling, high-quality video scripts for a YouTube audience on a deadline.
You will be working with a team of passionate content creators to turn your interesting and informative video ideas into a series of compelling videos.
Preferred Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of professional writing experience with a strong understanding of narrative storytelling and producing clean long-form copy.
- Strong ability to conduct research
- Possess the ability to work in a team setting.
- Ability to meet deadlines
- A passion for esports and the gaming industry
- Impeccable time management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Comfortable providing and receiving feedback
- Mastery of the English language
Additional Skills
- Video editing, interviewing, and voice-over experience is a plus
- Experience creating content for YouTube is a plus
- Education in writing and/or journalism is a plus
- Fluency in other languages is a plus
