Your Mission

As a Director, Consumer Marketing you will lead the ongoing consumer facing marketing strategy and execution for Call of Duty Mobile. The free-to-play shooter on glass mobile game launched worldwide in October, 2019, and has already surpassed 150 million downloads across iOS and Android.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic marketing leader with deep experience and a clear track record of being able to work in an extremely fast-paced entrepreneurial environment to develop innovative campaigns that will build the mobile brand under the Call of Duty franchise, as well as drive acquisition, engagement, and retention of consumers held to ROI metrics.

He/she will partner closely with the game studio, Product Management teams, PR, and other marketing departments (digital/social, 1:1) to develop the consumer marketing strategy and oversee creative development & execution of the corresponding marketing assets to ensure product strategies, brand objectives, and company objectives are met by consumer facing marketing campaigns.

The position requires experience partnering & collaborating with a cross channel internal team, managing external agencies, internal creative production teams, and partnering with game studios through strategy, design and execution and phases.

A passion for video games and experience in marketing a mobile platform/product/game with a live ops/services model are mandates.

Responsibilities

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities

  • Develop the consumer marketing strategy for Call of Duty Mobile, driving clear decision-making and key stakeholder alignment with business unit, studios and senior management.
  • Develop ongoing live ops marketing campaigns, designing and supporting integrated marketing, mobile campaigns, and engagement events.
  • Work with the Vice President, Consumer Marketing to ensure Call of Duty Mobiles marketing upholds franchise brand standards and integrates into the wider Call of Duty ecosystem.
  • Understanding of brand strategy and authorship of strategic marketing briefs and persuasive POVs to develop engaging campaigns.
  • Partner with the international marketing teams to develop a global strategic approach leading to locally relevant campaigns.
  • Develop creative executions and manage production process of all communication vehicles including (but not limited to): digital advertising, trailers, visual identity, screenshots, media integrations, events, social and CRM activities.
  • Drive cross-channel integration of marketing campaigns, across paid media, PR, and owned platforms such as social media, web, etc.
  • Optimization of marketing campaign creative, using data to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of our acquisition, engagement, and retention campaigns in partnership with the Director of User Acquisition and Sr. Director of Product.
  • Develop and manage annual marketing production budget.
  • Oversee project management pipelines for overall schedules and deadlines.

Player Profile

Minimum Requirements

  • 10+ years experience in consumer, digital and/or mobile marketing client-side or at an agency.
  • Proven team leader with people/agency management experience.
  • Passion for all things mobile & gaming (Call of Duty in particular) marketing, engagement, all things tech, and desire to identify opportunities for strategic brand involvement.
  • Experience leading /collaborating with a cross-functional team and working with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of management, as well as third party agencies and partners.
  • Must be effective in communicating (both written and verbal) with technical development team members, as well as non-technical resources, including management and brand marketing.
  • Budget management experience necessary.
  • Bachelors degree in marketing or communications preferred. Graduate degree a plus.
