Your Mission

As a Lead Build Engineer you will ensure that the digital asset build pipeline is efficient and fast, delivering our game content into the hands of our developers, testers and end-users. This is a great opportunity to be part of a passionate development team delivering cutting-edge games.

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of build engineers
  • Mentorship, scheduling and performance reviews of reports
  • Participate in the code review process
  • Interviewing and hiring
  • Develop, modify, debug, and optimizes existing build/asset pipeline and CI systems
  • Handle large data set Perforce integrations, including resolving of proprietary file formats
  • Work with IT to maintain, deploy, and scale the Build farm for the studio
  • Co-develop and collaborate with other Activision studios
  • Document software and features for internal and external teams

Player Profile

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineer, or Math related field
  • Proficiency in Python, or other scripting languages
  • 5+ years’ experience in building tools & pipelines for game development
  • Experience with C/C++, C# and computer architecture knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of revision control systems & branching schemes; Perforce, Git, etc.
  • Ability to quickly understand and work with internally and externally developed code
  • Proficiency with CI solutions; Jenkins, TeamCity, Bamboo, BuildBot, etc.
  • Creative, motivated, focused, passionate, results-oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to write efficient, readable, and reliable code
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Previously shipped titles

Extra Points:

  • Distributed build system experience; SN-DBS, Incredibuild
  • Familiar with PS4/Xbox tools and release processes
  • Experience with patching and submitting products to first parties
  • Experience with Linux; CentOS, Ubuntu
  • Working knowledge of web technologies; JavaScript, Flask, Jinja, etc.
  • Working knowledge of DevOps tools; Puppet, Docker, Grafana, InfluxDB, Kubernetes
