We're looking for a passionate Pipeline TD to join Wildlife's Marketing Art Production team in São Paulo, Brazil.

As a Pipeline TD, your primary focus is to ensure artists efficiency. You will make sure every 3D animation project runs smoothly by identifying and fixing technical problems as they arise. You guarantee each team has the software tools that they need to complete their part of the project with the highest efficiency and to the best standard possible. You develop scripts and tools to streamline the art production workflow, following the coding practices defined by the Engineering department.

What you'll do

  • Connect with artists of all expertises to understand what might be slowing them down and blocking their work;
  • Develop new tools and scripts, or modify existing code, to address production needs;
  • Collaborate with Producers, IT, Engineering and other TD teams to identify inefficiencies and opportunities to address technical, artistic, workflow or productivity issues and expand creative reach in these overlapping areas;
  • Work closely with the Engineering team – who design the pipeline core technology – to test, validate and release tools and systems in production;
  • Provide artists face-to-face technical assistance and general troubleshooting on the CG suites and tools used by the Production team;
  • Help engineering teams working on projects that improve the efficiency of asset setup, caching, and data handoff between artists across the entire pipeline;
  • Ensure documentation for the pipeline and tools is always up-to-date, reflecting any changes that are made;

What you'll need

  • University degree in courses related to computing such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, and Systems Analysis and Development;
  • Previous professional experience in software development;
  • Previous professional experience in feature animation or VFX projects in a similar role;
  • Strong drive to identify, debug and solve problems;
  • Positive and friendly customer-service demeanor;
  • Advanced Python programming skills;
  • Be familiar with graphics suites such as: Maya, V-Ray, Houdini, Nuke, After Effects, Unity;
  • Must be open to direction and be able to quickly context-switch according to production needs;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for communicating with artists, engineers, management, and IT teams;
