About the Role

External Development Producers are the key link between Wildlife and our development partners. They are product champions, vision holders, and decision makers. Producers nurture a project's success, keeping all sides aligned with the vision and marching together toward greatness.

With amazing communication, honed soft skills, deep empathy, wise team leadership, and a project management toolbox, these producers set milestones, measure KPIs, define quality, proactively manage risks, track progress, remove blockers, balance scope, and inspire people to do their best work. Whenever something gets in the way of someone's work, the producer is there to save the day.

What you'll do

  • Cultivate the relationship and alignment with external development partners, representing the studio to them and advocating for their decisions in the studio.
  • Collaborate to create roadmaps of engaging updates, build accountability and commitment through sprints and milestones, ensure project is aligned to business goals.
  • Evaluate project milestones, provide feedback on what is fun and what should change.
  • Communicate project information widely, create and maintain documentation to keep stakeholders updated on status, progress, and product decisions.
  • Partner with internal teams to maximize the impact of each release, monitor KPIs to measure the health of the game and to identify opportunities.
  • Champion planning, build transparency, predictability, and visibility, manage schedules, review backlogs, balance scope with quality and time.
  • Actively remove roadblocks and proactively identify and mitigate risks, follow up as needed.
  • Create a healthy team culture with clear roles and responsibilities, encourage knowledge sharing, review product and process results, guide the team through continuous improvement.

What you'll need

  • 5+ years of experience in project management or team leadership, 3+ years in mobile product leadership.
  • Experience with mobile game live ops.
  • Understanding of software development life cycles.
  • Knowledge of modern project management methodologies, processes, and the experience of knowing when not to use them.
  • History of managing remote teams and handling multiple stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with project management tools like Jira, Confluence, Excel (complex spreadsheets), or similar.
  • Plus: managed multiple teams, has education or certification in project management.
