Role Overview:
A Producer at Waste Creative is responsible for project managing and producing a wide range of projects across multiple disciplines and platforms. Reporting into a Senior Producer, they will work across several accounts, owning the process, productivity and profit of the projects.
The Producer can work independently on mid-level projects up to £40k and are expected to support on high value projects alongside a Senior Producer. They also manage high volume, fast turnaround low-level projects from conception through to delivery, including oversight for Junior Producers.
They should have a strong understanding of roles and capabilities across all departments, and with the support of Senior Producers, they should be able to identify specific skill sets required for each project. They are expected to have experience working with large teams on high value projects as well as experience working with smaller, agile teams on fast turnaround projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Delivery Management
Work alongside Strategy, Creative and Production teams to ensure projects are produced to a high standard, delivered on time and within agreed budget
Ownership & Leadership: accountability for team cohesion and empowering the project teams
Arrange briefings, plan, scope and quote mid-level projects
Assign operators, lead reviews, track costs and manage project progress
Manage concept feasibility check-ins
Advise on production solutions across all disciplines for mid-level projects
Manage project wash-ups
Mentorship
Support Senior Producers in onboarding Junior Producers when required
Support Senior Producers with planning, costing, billing guidance for Junior Producers
Financial Management
On low-mid level projects, monitor burn rate, report and conduct wash-ups
Analyse data to inform future project approaches
Estimate, track and bill with Paprika
Sign off cost estimates up to £20k, above which will be signed off by Senior Producers
Quality Control & Risk Management
Manage quality control process within assigned projects
Tailor assumptions for every project type
Prepare risk management for projects – risk planning, contingencies and implementation frameworks
Proactively troubleshoot to prevent roadblocks for strategy, creative and production teams at every stage of project lifecycle
Resource Planning & Collaboration
Develop a comprehensive understanding of internal + external talents and their abilities
Identify resource gaps and initiate resource searches with resource manager
Liaise and lead third party vendors / freelancers where relevant
Skills & Experience Required:
Minimum 5 years agency, production house or post-production experience, working with big brands and delivering multiple projects
High-level understanding of Strategy, Creative, Design, Video, 2D, 3D and Sound roles, functions, capabilities and applications
A good understanding of the different phases of Strategy and Creative: discovery, definition, development and delivery
Technical understanding of various production software (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects etc.)
Experience budgeting, scoping, supervising and reconciling mid-high level projects
Experience developing project workflows across digital, social and video
Experience guiding clients through complex deliverables and be able to communicate problems and solutions clearly
A passion for best practice, client satisfaction, and consistency of process and service across all projects, big or small
Experience or a willingness to mentor more junior team members of the project management team, managing their capacity and encouraging growth and improvement
Experience managing the full project life cycle
Understanding of encoding/transcoding, codecs, video formats, file types, frame rates, resolutions
A strong understanding of different animation processes & techniques across 2D and 3D
An understanding of the shoot production process
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment
Ability to interact with co-workers effectively and appropriately at a variety of levels, across many disciplines
Meticulous attention to detail and ability to pick up challenging projects at any phase, at lightning speed and with enthusiasm
A keen eye for quality control
