Position: Program Coordinator, Esports

Department: Marketing

Term: Effective immediately for 8 months

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Program Coordinator, Esports will provide overall coordination and administrative support for all activities pertaining to the Vancouver Titans of The Overwatch League. They will focus on supporting all internal stakeholders, ensuring the success of fan development, corporate partnership, and fan engagement activities as they relate to launching the Titans franchise. The Program Coordinator, Esports will also support Vancouver Canucks marketing programs as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(Other duties may be assigned as required)

  • Coordinate and manage project tasks with marketing department to ensure project delivery within allocated budget and timelines
  • Assist with project management of local fan engagement events and activities including the support of event logistics, promotional materials and budgets
  • Manage weekly operations meetings with Titans team leads, maintaining action logs and ensuring all deadlines and outstanding items are well communicated to internal stakeholders
  • Participate in monthly league calls to ensure timely compliance with any league requests
  • Overall maintenance of the official Titans website, as well as other web, content and social support where required (including web and social analytics support)
  • Activate benefits for Titans Corporate Partners as it relates to events, merchandise, web, and social inclusions
  • Act as day-to-day contact for external supplier and vendor related requests
  • Provide overall support and participate in various special projects

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an administrative role
  • A post-secondary degree or diploma from a recognized institution in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with outstanding administrative and time management skills
  • Excellent people skills, with an ability to work closely and cooperatively with internal and external clients at all levels
  • Passion and understanding of esports, as well as Overwatch specifically
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with WordPress or other content management system
  • Project Management experience considered an asset
  • Proactive and resourceful with an ability to “make things happen”
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by event and promotions schedule
