Unity’s Accelerate Solutions team is a group of highly skilled Software Development and Technical Art with deep expertise in the Unity platform. Our main goal is to help our customers improve their projects and internal workflows and assist them in the resolution of very challenging technical problems. In order to do this, we provide a series of short-term and long-term consulting and development services that can range in duration from one week to eighteen months and beyond.

Our customers include globally-known brands, and they need their art pipelines optimized, their visual targets met, and timely advice on how best to use Unity. If you're technically skilled, customer-focused, and curious, this job will suit you.

Your day-to-day work will include interacting with customers, researching and delivering the answers to their questions, developing solutions and examples, and striving to ensure that their projects succeed.

What you’ll be doing

  • Engage with external customer teams to optimize and integrate art assets into their games or apps without sacrificing artistic vision or exceeding platform requirements.

  • Investigate, profile, suggest performance improvements, and optimize rendering workflow of customer projects.

  • Build sample shaders, material and rendering technique for our partners or Unity customers in general with quality methodologies in mind.

  • Conduct on-site and remote technical art reviews to isolate and resolve workflow inefficiencies and performance bottlenecks, then educate our developer community on Unity best practices.

  • Produce and integrate assets such as particle systems, shaders and other VFX into our customers’ applications without sacrificing artistic vision or exceeding technical limits of the platform.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience developing with Unity at a high level.

  • Solid understanding of 3d art workflows and pipelines.

  • Experience and technical understanding of real-time art optimization and performance.

  • Proficiency in C# and different shader languages (e.g., HLSL or GLSL)

  • Good communicator with the ability to work as part of a team of diverse skills and interface directly with clients.

You might also have

  • Production experience developing and shipping applications for AR, VR, mobile or Windows.

  • Experience with game console development (Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox).
