Role description
The opportunity
Unity Technologies is looking for a Software Developer to join our web-platform team which building the UI foundation for the growing suite of customer-facing Unity products and services.
As a member of this team, you will be responsible for building new platform features used by product teams to build next-generation web experiences. Stability, quality, and robustness of code are requirements, as teams across Unity rely upon our services to build their best products.
You are proficient in modern web development methods and understand the different requirements that are brought upon by responsive and consistent design, continuous deployment, and presenting with sophisticated backend systems.
You have proven experience building websites across teams and organizations. Engagement with other developers throughout Unity’s many product teams will be crucial.
You understand the importance of a balanced company-wide development culture which invites participation, promotes mentorship, and works alongside product managers and designers to ensure Unity is building the best products possible for customers.
What you'll be doing
- Design, implement, test, and maintain high performance, results-oriented user interfaces and groundbreaking frameworks and tools
- Work very closely with UX designers, product managers and a team of senior developers building the next big thing
- Partner with developers across the company to ensure the platform allows teams to build new products quickly and consistently
- Promote and empower internal open-source philosophy around shared web technology
What we're looking for
- Professional experience working with JavaScript and developing single page applications
- Hands-on experience with modern CSS frameworks
- Experience with unit testing and end-to-end test frameworks
You might also have
- Experience with React and Redux
- Experience building tooling, component libraries or platforms for developers
- Experience in gaming
