The opportunity

The Create community team is looking for a Community Manager who is highly motivated, outgoing, and creative. You will support our outstanding community of creators by making sure that their voices are heard and ensuring that they have everything they need to continue being successful contributors within the Unity community.

You will be a critical part of Unity's communications team that will increase, maintain, and manage engagement with customers, guiding participants and prospects through a growing online community. You will take ownership of growing community engagement and management, collaboratively driving the vision and strategy with leadership, developing meaningful metrics and reports, and encouraging a transparent, collaborative online culture that helps build trust, dedication, and product demand. You will directly manifest our core value of Users First!

What you’ll be doing

  • Help to manage and grow Unity’s community spaces - Unity Forums, Discord, Answers, Reddit
  • Build and apply community-centric strategies and tactics that support larger campaign objectives
  • Report on community sentiment and connect internal teams with their communities
  • Partner with the social media team members to plan community programming and help solve any community-related issues
  • Plan and implement on-the-ground community activations at events like GDC and Unite

What we’re looking for

  • Independent critical thinker with the ability to build project requirements and balance multiple initiatives in parallel
  • Strong written and oral communicator
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple teams in an international environment
  • A background in the online community, social media, or communications, in addition to familiarity with the game industry, game development, or graphics technology in general.
  • Experience developing with Unity or other game engines

  • Experience working with open-source projects
