The ideal co-host has some broadcast experience, behind or in front of the camera. This co-host has a great sense of humor, and can play both leading and supporting roles (“The co-pilot, not the distraction”). Strong comedy background (stand up/improv/sketch), gaming experience, and passion for pop and geek culture is preferred. They should be comfortable and able to sit down behind a console, PC, or board game and play at a proficient level if needed. They need to be familiar with the current “Let’s Play” formats from games, chats, polling, and donations. The ideal candidate should also be up to date on all the top streamers, featured games, and formats on Twitch and Youtube. They should have solid communication skills and the ability to maintain consistent engagement. The ideal co-host can effortlessly roll with the punches with all the things that can go right or wrong during a live show, and can be comfortable interacting with all levels of guests, from top streamers to A-list celebrities.
