Job Description
XDefiant is seeking a talented and experienced Video Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating engaging video content for our promotional campaigns, social media platforms, and in-game trailers. As a Video Editor, you will collaborate with the development team leads and the marketing team to capture the essence of our games and deliver visually captivating content to our audience.
Qualifications
Responsibilities - WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Produce and edit video content for promotional campaigns, social media platforms, in-game trailers, and other marketing initiatives
Collaborate with the marketing team, external agencies and other stakeholders to develop creative concepts and storyboards for video projects
Work with artists, technical artists, animators and more to ensure that your capture reflect as best as possible the game quality.
Ensure consistency of style, tone, and quality across all video content
Manage and organize raw footage, assets, and project files
Create custom graphics, animations, and other visual elements to enhance video content
Work closely with audio designers to ensure high-quality audio and sound design
Deliver projects on time while adhering to strict deadlines
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in video editing technology
Requirements - WHAT YOU'RE BRINGING:
Bachelor's degree in film, media, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
Minimum 3 years of professional video editing experience, preferably in the gaming industry
Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and other industry-standard editing software
Strong knowledge of video formats, codecs, and compression techniques
Exceptional storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail and visual aesthetics
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience with game capture tools and techniques
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Passion for video games and a solid understanding of the gaming industry
Bonus Qualifications - GOOD TO HAVE:
Enjoys competitive shooter games
Experience with 3D animation software such as Maya, 3ds Max, or Blender
Proficiency in motion graphics design and animation
Proficiency with game capture tools and techniques
Experience working on marketing campaigns for AAA video game titles
