As a Live Development Tester at Ubi MTL, you’ll be part of the post-launch Qc team of a game. You’ll validate every features & updates that makes it into the Live version of the title. Also, helping in making sure the community is having a great experience while frequent content is released for the game. You will need to interact with all members of your team, including other developers; designers, artists, directors, programmers, to understand the root of problems and find possible solutions to fixes. Thanks to you, players will come to uncover is not only a game that is playable, but an experience that’s enjoyable.
Main Responsibilities:
Monitoring the Live version of the game, while verifying every features & releases (MTX, Events, Balancing, etc)
Investigate, reproduce and report issues that affect the Live version of the game
Support the LiveOps team by validating Live maintenances & updates for the game on every platforms
Browse forums and websites like Reddit, Youtube, etc. to find & report any issues found by the community
Work closely with Community Dev & Customer Support to provide a great gaming experience for the community
Flag any major issues affecting the customer experience to the production teams, making sure these are quickly resolved
Produce and maintain documentation about processes or features pertaining to your team
Work with other development testers to stay up to date, fix features, suggest solutions to setbacks, share knowledge, etc
Collaborate with your team lead to understand the overall game vision & design documentation
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma
Training in video game testing
Relevant experience:
1-2 years in quality control, quality assurance, or related experience (troubleshooting, testing)
Experience in Live operations an asset
Experience as a community manager, forum admin, etc
Skills and Knowledge:
Focus on customer needs
Knowledge of different social media websites used by the community (e.g. Reddit, Twitter, etc.)
Good knowledge of QA methodologies, tools and processes
Knowledge of bug tracking software (e.g. Jira) and test management tools (e.g. TestRail and Xray)
Knowledge of the different Mobile platforms and their shops (e.g. Apple Store, Google Store)
Knowledge of IOS and Android
