Job Description

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Sync with Animation Director to represent animation best practices and standards.
  • Provide support and feedback for internal animation team.
  • Establish animation standards and provide feedback for animation outsourcing.
  • Collaborate with Tech Artists to improve existing and prototype future animation pipelines.
  • Create high quality hand keyed and motion captured enhanced gameplay animations using Motionbuilder.
  • Collaborate with all disciplines to develop gameplay features.
  • Work independently to identify problems, work out details with other developers, and solve the problems for the animation team.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Expert in Motionbuilder and Maya.
  • At least 7 years of experience in video game animation or equivalent with at least 3 of those years animating weapons.
  • Experience in a lead or mentoring role on shipped AAA titles.
  • Exceptional animation and posing ability.
  • Delivered high quality hand key and motion capture enhanced animations for body and face within complex animation systems
  • Experience establishing and implementing pipelines such as character base poses in the animation software, animation graphs in the game engine, and character rig standards with tech art
  • Experience mentoring and providing feedback for internal and external teams
  • Strong communication skills collaborating with other disciplines such as art, tech art, engineers, and design
