Summary: As the Software Engineering Manager, you are responsible for leading the team that delivers Neon software to control our best-in-class Roccat PC gaming ecosystem. You are an experienced technical software manager who drives the execution of the team to deliver on-time, high-quality desktop software in support of our Roccat gaming ecosystem. You are a team builder and mentor to your software engineers. You work in a modern agile environment to produce world-class software. You work closely with our product team, our UX designers, our software and firmware developers, and our software quality team. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the development team in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of the Neon PC desktop application
  • Principle stakeholder responsible for leading the software engineering team to execute on-time, high-quality PC desktop software
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop plans and commit to goals for delivering software features
  • Collaborate with firmware and hardware development teams to coordinate schedules and deliveries of new products within the software and hardware ecosystem
  • Monitor, evaluate, and ensure the completion of tasks and projects
  • Participate in technical design and code reviews
  • Work with the software team to define and follow appropriate software workflows and processes to ensure high-quality timely execution
  • Team builder, trainer, mentor to other software engineers on the team
  • Setting and tracking performance and development goals for each team member
  • Develop and maintain current and future resource plans
  • Up-to-date date with the latest software technology and development
  • Hands-on C# coder

Education/Experience/Skills

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • 3+ year’s experience in a manager role for Software Engineers
  • History of building and managing a successful software development team that deploys software commercially
  • Experience developing, integrating, and deploying C# .NET software solutions
  • Solid understanding of C# .Net software as both a leader and contributor
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Experienced in modern software development practices including agile, scrum, automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery
  • Experience working on projects that involve interfacing software to hardware using USB or wireless communications is helpful, such as previous experience working on applications for consumer electronics or IoT
  • Experience or knowledge of PC gaming environments is a huge plus
