Summary:

Business Planning within Sales is responsible for preparing business models, forecasting, and validating business assumptions. This role focuses on the overall planning and execution of business management guided by margin maximization as the ultimate goal. Lead analytical support for the Global Sales & Business Planning teams and identifies key sales trends and opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support business analysis of the Turtle Beach business covering all product categories – Turtle Beach, ROCCAT, NEAT.
  • Perform dealer inventory allocations and dealer sales forecasting. Monitors and controls P/S/I balance internally and externally to maximize sales to fill channel demand while minimizing channel & warehouse inventory & freight costs.
  • Responsible for sound judgment on account and model level allocation plans when necessary
  • Support Credit forecasting on sell thru based channel IR programs to manage gross profit by account & category line
  • Maintain a high level of forecast accuracy by building an accurate sell-out and sell-in forecast by model by analyzing customer demand, sales trends, and having insight into industry dynamics including WOS.
  • Demand Planning & CPFR operations working with Sr. Director, Account Management and Supply Chain Operations. Ability to interact with Dealer buyer group as needed.
  • Assist Business Planning & Account Management by direct access to US retail partner’s on-line database and distribute standard and custom reports as needed
  • Assist annual plan, prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports that compare actual results to forecasts
  • Participate in system enhancements and automation to improve efficiency in planning and reporting.
  • Conduct key ad-hoc analysis to help understand business trends
  • Miscellaneous administrative tasks as needed

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Minimum 5 years in Demand Planning & CPFR experience required including a deep understanding of supply chain end to end flow (factory to end-user)
  • Strong leadership to lead members from multiple teams and ability to conduct internal and external meetings to finalize forecasts and plans.
  • Capable of managing a large amount of data, while understanding the big picture and ability to shape detail within the larger framework.
  • Must be an advanced user of MS Excel (creating formulas, pivot tables, charts, VLookup, HLookups, Index, Offset, Sumifs, Scenario modeling, Macro)
  • Experience using analytic platforms Netsuite, Tableau is a plus.
  • Experience in dealing with US Domestic retail partners (Walmart, Best Buy, Target, Amazon) regarding forecasting and replenishment planning, allocation, is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of 3rd company manufacturing, international shipping logistics preferred
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and logical thinking skills
  • Good research skills required; tenacity to seek out answers
  • Must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills; verbal and written and demonstrate the ability of active listening
  • Ability to work independently and to work collaboratively across departments
  • Ability to travel as needed for sales meetings and collaborative events (10%)
