What you will do:

Help build an entirely new game development team, that will create fully interactive new worlds from scratch, such as this one. A unique opportunity to contribute to the largest AAA space sim game ever. The only limit is your imagination. Day to day, you will be leading and growing a game design team to deliver engaging and diverse player experiences for the intergalactic video game Star Citizen, a record-shattering crowd-funded video game that combines classic space sim gameplay with amazing visuals.

You’re savvy in:

  • Sharing your passion and fueling other's inspiration. You are an ambitious leader.
  • Working in a team, communicating, listening and taking other people’s ideas into account
  • Providing clear and constructive feedback to designers on their work
  • Collaborating in a fast-paced environment and working effectively with teams located across the globe
  • Being thorough and curious about innovations in UI and the gaming industry
  • Showing and sharing a strong passion for gaming and Sci-Fi

You have accomplished / possess:

  • 5 years+ of experience in a professional game production environment
  • Proven leadership skills in a game design role
  • Previous experience on a AAA MMO/multiplayer game
  • Excellent sense for design and creating outstanding user experiences
  • A keen eye for sleek and modern user interfaces
  • Experience with programming/scripting languages; an asset

You will be in charge of:

  • Driving, inspiring and leading the design team by example to deliver engaging and exceptional player experiences for Star Citizen’s universe
  • Collaborating cross-discipline with Art, Engineering, Narrative and Production to ensure the design team is in sync with demands, plans and schedules
  • Collecting and leveraging the player community feedback to improve the game experience
  • Mentoring and managing members of the design team, helping them to refine their skills and move along their career paths
  • Partnering with the Tool Development team to identify bottlenecks and opportunities to improve the design workflow
  • Building a new team from the ground up
