We are looking for a talented temporary entry level engineer to work directly with other engineers and designers to implement and support systems that drive compelling multiplayer gameplay.

You will assist with gameplay features from start to finish, working on implementation, providing interfaces for design iteration, and addressing ongoing needs as they arise. The ideal candidate has strong technical and people skills and a keen understanding of multiplayer gameplay.

Player Profile

  • Implement lightweight gameplay features and prototypes (such as new weapons, abilities, game modes, scoring mechanics, etc.) and plugin VFX, SFX and basic UI and HUD for those features.
  • Spearhead the collaborative process with other designers, engineers, animators, artists, sound designers and production to ensure the success of these features. Identify and resolve bottlenecks and conflicts with other disciplines.
  • Debug and optimizes proprietary script implementations.
  • Setup, tune and trouble shoot gameplay related assets and data via our proprietary tools and editors. Expose tunable-s to system designers.
  • Assist senior engineers and designers with daily tasks (such as checking protocols, testing, compiling notes and descriptions, resolving code/script conflicts)
  • Routinely collect feedback from the development team and through playtesting.
  • Demonstrate strong ability to prioritize and self-manage to meet deadlines.
  • Be a positive influence on your team.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience with C, C++, and non-visual scripting languages
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent understanding of first-person combat and game mechanics
  • A strong capacity for math, especially in its relationship to game development
  • Knowledge of frameworks, tools, and APIs, including: Visual Studio & Perforce
  • To be a proactive worker that excels in a team environment, is self-motivated, and egoless
  • An absolute passion for playing and making video games

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Previous industry experience and/or cool personal projects.
