A Game Producer is responsible for overseeing the overall production of a game project, from development to product release. They bring a critical element to the development process by coordinating with engineering leads, artists, developers, and other producers of all disciplines, promoting communication across teams, and directing features from inception to launch.

Responsibilities:

  • Motivate and support your team/s and contribute to a positive work environment
  • Guide the completion of project goals and facilitate communication, organization, and process improvement across all departments
  • Direct the day-to-day tasking and scheduling for engineering teams and gameplay features
  • Effectively communicate with developers of all disciplines
  • Identify roadblocks and project risks and be involved in finding solutions
  • Collaborate with team leadership and other producers to keep teams moving toward a shared vision
  • Help make informed decisions in conjunction with team leads on work methods, development pipeline, priorities, and available people
  • Work with team leads to make decisions on priorities, development pipelines, work methodologies, and resource allocation
  • Facilitate team and department meetings to reach conclusions effectively

Requirements:

  • 1 to 2 years experience in a management position within the mobile game industry
  • At least one full game project under your belt in the role of Producer or Project Manager
  • Game development tools, knowledge, and work experience.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Broad understanding of game development processes (design, code, art)
  • Capacity to analyze risk and plan contingencies.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Able to manage multiple teams
  • A strong passion for playing and making video games
