Responsibilities:
- Responsible to the mid-long term datacenter solution planning;
- Keeps up-to-date with the state of the art technology of data center industry;
- Collaborates on the research of relevant technology trends;
- Provides input on the analysis of technology impacts;
- Recommends to stakeholders based upon research finds, leading the new solution and product development;
- Maintains Industry awareness through training, reading, research, collaboration and industry event attendance;
- Interfaces with fellow teams in the products and solutions lifecycle such as in the designing and planning/delivery/maintenance and operation organizations on technology and service initiatives, new product introductions, technology roadmap, and commercial concerns;
- Provides technical subject matter expertise to Sales, Marketing and the Industry through support in creating, developing and delivering content for proposals, marketing studies and marketing events;
- Supports the briefing of fellow teams on the features, restrictions and selling points of the new solutions and technology;
Requirements:
- Degree holder in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or other related disciplines, M.Eng or MASC preferred. IFMA Professional Member preferred;
- 10+ years of experience as a Facilities Designer/Architect or Chief Engineer in critical facilities management;
- Experience design or managing mission critical facilities portfolio at
- Power supply, generators, UPS systems, electrical distribution
- Heating, Ventilation, Air Condition systems (HVAC)
- Fire alarm and fire protection systems
- Control and monitoring systems
- Able to work under pressure with ability to handle multiple tasks;
- Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English and Mandarin;
- Vendor management:
- Experience working with customers;
- Experience collaborating with other business units to meet company goals and standards;
- Excellent fault analytical and investigation skills;
- Deep understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in a data center environment;
- Strong understanding of infrastructure redundancy configurations and equipment and their risks (N+1, 2N, ATS/ STS, Failover Scenarios);
- Proficient in reading/understanding MEP drawings;
- Strong knowledge of energy efficiency principals and the ability to recommend energy efficiency improvements;
- Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and familiarity with Microsoft Project, Adobe Acrobat, Visio or AutoCad;
- Effective people management and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels;
