The Opportunity:

Are you a storyteller with a passion for gaming and esports? When building content, are you always asking questions because you're looking for ways to add or create value? Would you consider yourself a detail-oriented self-starter who loves to work in a collaborative environment? If so, you're perfect for the Content Strategist, League of Legends role currently available at Team Liquid.

In this role, you will combine market research and platform analytics to develop a multi-channel content slate for the League of Legends pod and supervise its execution. The core responsibility of the Content Strategist will be to create a content plan which is marketable and aligned with Liquid's brand values.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Manage and maintain complete channel mastery workflows and processes for each social media platform
  • Direct a short- and long-term content strategy based on tournaments, games, player signings, terminations,
  • Assist in the promotional/content marketing strategy when pitching and managing ROI/CPM for additional content asks
  • Inform content roadmap when collecting, analyzing, and reporting performance metrics for all programming
  • Identify and implement quid quo pro marketing strategies when generating new content ideas for the pod to create and execute.
  • Manage profile assets for relevancy and place requests, developing/supporting player narrative developments to reflect upcoming events if necessary
  • Ideate and deliver a quarterly Programming Guide to execute on the LCS YouTube and social channels.;
  • Implement market research when identifying and developing the overall theme and direction for the quarter.
  • Guide cadence and content thought-starters to the Development team.
  • Determine the content scope, cadence, and frequency of engagement to meet deliverables and promote videos across Team Liquid's social media channels.
  • Implement robust segmentation strategies to minimize negative impact when incorporating sponsor deliverables on YouTube

Position Qualifications

  • 2+ years of previous experience in a content or marketing role.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the League YouTube ecosystem.
  • Experience leading a team of creatives.
  • Solid understanding of the content creation process (develop, prep, produce, post, publish).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working with talent.
  • Creative problem solver.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
  • Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
