Job Description
Tantalus South, A Keywords Studio, is currently recruiting for an Associate Producer to assist our growing team of enthusiastic and collaborative developers. Opened in 2022, we are a team of world-class technical engineers, production experts, designers and visual artists. We are a full suite creative development team that specializes in graphics development, optimization and technical art as well as game design and core mechanics development. We have a strong history of co-development, remastering and porting and are in development on an original IP experience.
The role of Associate Producer at Tantalus South is a technical and creative production role where you'll work to assist our teams and studio to manage client projects internally and in co-dev scenarios with our other Keywords Studios domestically and across the world. Additionally, you will assist in organizing meetings, capturing and organising documentation, recording staffing allocations on projects and reporting in all directions on various aspects of the development process and pipeline.

K E Y R E S P O N S I B I L I T I E S
The responsibilities of the Associate Producer role can be broken down into the following core areas: Development
Support Managers and other Producers in their daily duties
Identify production challenges and design strategies to resolve them
Work alongside developers to document key information and challenges
Facilitate communication between developers, internal stakeholders and clients
Initiate Sprint Planning, Sprint Retrospective and Stand-Up meetings
Collaborate with Managers and other Producers to manage and record staffing allocations
Assist in managing calendars and meetings between Australian and International team members
Collaborate with client-management teams to ensure work is fit-for-purpose
Write and update internal documentation for new features
General Providing general assistance, guidance and support to all areas of the business by;
Attending Team Weekly Ops and Individual Performance Meetings
Keeping abreast of daily/ weekly departmental priorities
Documenting work done in internal ticketing tools
Assisting with staff training
Assisting with tasks relating to the general day to day running of the studio
Additional responsibilities may be added at a later date in consultation with your manager.
R E Q U I R E D S K I L L S & Q U A L I F I C A T I O N S
A Bachelor's Degree in IT, Games, Programming or similar discipline, OR
1+ Years of employment in a role within IT, Games, Programming or Similar Industry
Experience working with Excel, PowerPoint and other Business Applications or Equivalents
Demonstrated experience in project planning or management
High-Level understanding of the Games Industry and Development Practices and Roles
Foundational familiarity with Unity, Unreal, Godot, Game Maker or other Game Engines
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment within a growing studio
DESIRABLE SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Competencies in Computer Hardware, Software and Networking configurations and Systems
A basic understanding of C#, C++, Java, Python or another programming language
Understanding of Game Development QA Concepts β Bugs and Bug Reproduction, Triage etc.
Understanding of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) Concepts
Passion for the technical aspects of Games Development
A desire to learn daily with a determination to pick things up as quickly as possible
An ability to not get hung up on mistakes with a mindset to move forward focusing on solutions
A willingness to tackle any challenge and attack it with a strong and consistent work ethic
