We’re looking for a Senior Technical Artist to work with our game teams to research, innovate and implement our asset production pipelines. You would be part of the Art Lab team - a creative art force that helps our game teams to find solutions to build unique IPs in high quality. You will be working across all Supercell game teams providing technical guidance and support to internal and external teams to ensure assets are efficiently delivered at the highest level of quality together with a group of art specialists in the Art Lab team.

Since you would have a key role in building an advanced and efficient tech pipeline that helps not only our internal teams but also external productions, ideally you also have years of experience doing this already. To be successful in this role, you will also need to be a proactive programmer/artist who can communicate with artists, designers and programmers to help deliver world-class art, for world-class mobile games.

Responsibilities

  • Work with game teams to build and maintain their asset production pipelines
  • Gather a deep understanding of our asset pipeline, from asset creation to engine/in-game and live updates
  • Help teams to develop best techniques, tools and workflows
  • Provide training to other artists to share learnings within the company
  • Evaluate asset organization to develop best practices and standards and help teams implement these
  • Produce high quality tools and plugins for various DCC tools (Maya, Blender, Houdini etc)
  • Help game teams to profile and optimize their art
  • Investigate and evaluate third party tools, make proposals and lead these integrations

Requirements

  • 5+ years game industry (or other relevant) professional experience
  • Solid technical background with an ability to design and implement systems
  • Experience developing and maintaining systems used in production environments
  • Strong user-orientation and communication skills
  • Proactive attitude, go-get mentality
  • Structured and able to clearly define, prioritize and plan your own tasks
  • Motivated and enthusiastic team player, supporting your colleagues
  • Keen to learn and further develop your expertise

Nice-to-haves

  • Modular rigging system development (Maya)
  • Competent in various languages (Python, C++, C#, Java, etc)
