Position: Social Media Coordinator

Employment Type: 30 hours per week, hourly

Compensation: starting at $25/hr, negotiable depending on experience

Location: Hybrid if the candidate is located in the Austin, TX area; fully remote if the candidate is located elsewhere

Job Duties:

  • Research audience preferences and stay at the forefront of current trends

  • Create and post engaging text, image, and video content

  • Design posts to sustain readers’ curiosity and create buzz around new products

  • Measure web traffic and monitor SEO

  • Stay up-to-date with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness

  • Facilitate online conversations with customers and respond to queries

  • Report on online reviews and feedback from customers and fans

  • Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics

  • Oversee social media accounts’ layout

  • Suggest new ways to attract prospective customers, like promotions and competitions

  • Perform additional related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Expertise in multiple social media platforms, including Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube

  • Knowledge of SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics

  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)

  • Familiarity with online marketing strategies and marketing channels

  • Ability to gasp future trends in digital technologies and act proactively

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Multitasking and analytical skills

Education and Experience:

  • 1 year of experience as a social media coordinator or Jr Social Media Manager preferred

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, New media, or a relevant field preferred

  • Knowledge of the Tech/PC industry preferred

  • Knowledge/understanding of Twitch and YouTube creators and culture preferred

Physical Demands:

  • Able to sit or stand for the duration of the workday

  • Able to use a keyboard, headset, and computer monitor for the workday
