
Social Media Coordinator
Position: Social Media Coordinator
Employment Type: 30 hours per week, hourly
Compensation: starting at $25/hr, negotiable depending on experience
Location: Hybrid if the candidate is located in the Austin, TX area; fully remote if the candidate is located elsewhere
Job Duties:
Research audience preferences and stay at the forefront of current trends
Create and post engaging text, image, and video content
Design posts to sustain readers’ curiosity and create buzz around new products
Measure web traffic and monitor SEO
Stay up-to-date with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness
Facilitate online conversations with customers and respond to queries
Report on online reviews and feedback from customers and fans
Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics
Oversee social media accounts’ layout
Suggest new ways to attract prospective customers, like promotions and competitions
Perform additional related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Expertise in multiple social media platforms, including Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
Knowledge of SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics
Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
Familiarity with online marketing strategies and marketing channels
Ability to gasp future trends in digital technologies and act proactively
Excellent communication skills
Multitasking and analytical skills
Education and Experience:
1 year of experience as a social media coordinator or Jr Social Media Manager preferred
Bachelors degree in Marketing, New media, or a relevant field preferred
Knowledge of the Tech/PC industry preferred
Knowledge/understanding of Twitch and YouTube creators and culture preferred
Physical Demands:
Able to sit or stand for the duration of the workday
Able to use a keyboard, headset, and computer monitor for the workday
