Do you want to help us uncover the mysteries of making magic?

At Star Stable Entertainment we have always believed in the value and power of data and worked hard to understand our players to be able to give them what they want so that we can surprise and delight them with our products. For the last nine years that work has been strongly focused on our Star Stable Online players on PC and Mac. But that is about to change. Rapidly.

Little do we know about our future, but we do know this:

  • As we are embarking on the next part of our journey we are expanding our business by bringing Star Stable Online to mobile platforms, building and launching new games, for new types of players, on new platforms, and in new territories, as well as continuing our expansion into books, music, moving image, and other relevant products.
  • To be successful on this journey we need a much deeper understanding of our players (both existing and potential), the markets, and the platforms where we want to be as well as being able to accurately predict the future performance of our business. So that we can keep making great games for girls supported by world-class books, music, and movies to inspire current and coming generations.
  • That’s where you come in. With analytics as our crystal ball to divine insights into the past, the present, and the future.
  • The director of analytics and insights will be responsible for the mission above, as well as the quality and relevance of our data sources and owning and structuring the data warehouse. You have our DevOps engineering team to help you build a data information pipeline that enables end-users to do their best work.
  • As we are a company creating games, user research is of course a part of the data and insights we want you to dig deeper into.
  • You will not be building everything on your own, but we will be counting on your expertise to have the Analytics and Insights team work closely with stakeholders across the organization to uncover how magic is made.

Does this sound like you?

  • As our first Director of Analytics & Insights, we believe you have a growth mindset and relentless curiosity, as well as a deep urge to help others make better decisions, by identifying opportunities for experiments and insights.
  • Being inclusive, respectful, and service-minded are keywords for you (we are all about helping each other and growing together on our common journey). You are comfortable communicating both internally and externally and are naturally interested in understanding the needs of others.
  • Since you will be working with our data you should have extensive knowledge and understanding of data/sources/warehouse and also know how they interact with a growing organization and what’s important in that matter.
  • We hope that you seize opportunities and dare to try new creative solutions that have never been done before.
  • If you have experience in the tech or games industry – no one would be happier than us!
  • You will bring your team on a journey and therefore your leadership- and coaching skills will be of great importance. You will help our stakeholders with data-informed decisions so bear in mind that you need to be able to navigate ambiguity even when the data is not showing a clear direction - but hey, you are probably a natural in this!
