We are seeking a talented Technical Artist to join our dynamic team and contribute to our exciting AAA+ projects. As a Technical Artist, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between art and technology, ensuring seamless integration and optimization of assets within our production pipeline.

Using your technical expertise, you will work closely with artists and engineers to optimize workflows and streamline asset production. Your ability to find creative solutions and troubleshoot technical issues will contribute to the overall efficiency and quality of our game development process.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and adjust assets in the current production pipeline

  • Work with both engineers and artists to assist, enhance and streamline asset production

  • Formulate feature requests for the engineers and help them create new features for the artists

  • Develop tools that will help automate the art pipeline

  • Shader development (Material Graph/HLSL)

  • Script UI-related logic using Blueprints

  • Visual setup and optimization of UI

  • Prepare documentation for pipelines, tools and procedures if necessary

  • Help with establishing and/or maintaining project’s graphical budget

  • Communicate with the client on various potential issues that may come up during production cycle

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience as a Technical Artist in game industry

  • Knowledge of mainstream game engines (Unreal Engine is a must, Unity will be a plus)

  • Experience with UI creation in Unreal Engine 5 (Common UI, Material Graph, Blueprints)

  • Understanding of modern modelling, sculpting and texturing techniques

  • Scripting knowledge (C#, Python etc.)

  • Shader writing experience

  • Understanding Physically Based Rendering concepts

  • Ability to receive and provide constructive feedback

  • Self-motivation, strong problem-solving skills and team-player attitude

Nice to have

  • Experience with a proprietary engine

  • Scripting workflow tools in MEL, MaxScript or Python

  • Knowledge of procedural workflow tools such as Houdini and Substance Designer.
