Sperasoft is hiring to contribute to Halo Infinite – the next chapter of the legendary franchise. Developed by 343 Industries and created with their new Slipspace Engine, Halo Infinite was revealed at the Xbox E3 2018 Briefing with a thrilling engine demo that provides a glimpse into the future of the Halo franchise, leading it into new and unexpected directions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and create both high polygonal sculpts and real-time game assets matching (or exceeding) project and studio standards
- Works with Lead Artists to ensure timely completion of game assets
- Communicates regularly with the Lead Artist regarding the status of current tasks
- Obtains Lead Artists guidance and approval as required to advance tasks
- Is expected to continue to refine artistic abilities and learn new software packages and / or in-house tools
- Coordinates with Senior and/or Lead Artists with mentoring Junior 3D Artists as wells as sharing best project practices with them
- Contributes to the team-oriented environment
Requirements:
- Experience in modeling, sculpting and texturing characters or environments using 3ds Max, Maya, Zbrush or Mudbox, Marvelous and Photoshop (or equivalent packages), Quixel or Substance painter
- Familiar with Game Engine Technologies such as Unity and Unreal or Frostbite
- Excellent understanding of form, shape, structure and silhouette in regard to modeling
- Experience with managing polygon count and texture budgets
- Ability to receive constructive feedback
- Self-motivation, good communication skills, and a great team-player attitude
Pluses:
- Previous experience as 3D Artist in the game production
- Experience or base knowledge of scripting languages, shader materials and in-game asset management is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create results driven, team oriented environment
- Ability to create concept art
- Traditional drawing, painting or sculpting skills
- Understanding of rigging and skinning
