Are you a strategy-minded Business Development leader that has what it takes to drive the continued success for one of the fastest-growing companies in esports? Smash.gg is seeking a Business Development Director to help drive the continued success of our Partnerships group. This individual will report to the CEO and interface with other key internal & external stakeholders to identify, develop, and execute strategies that create deep and lasting customer partnerships. You must be a visionary thought leader and possess the ability to establish strategic direction, develop & flawlessly execute sales objectives, and inspire others to deliver desired results. This person has experience crafting and signing large, detailed deals while managing C-level relationships and having fun doing it!

Responsibilities

  • Identify new strategic partnership opportunities within the esports arena
  • Structure, negotiate, and bring to contract partnerships in order to meet or exceed sales objectives
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key partners at every level and horizontally within esport tournament and publishing organizations Work with various divisions (including Development, Success, Finance, and Legal) to gain support for key initiatives and deals
  • Assist in the development of pricing, product, and market strategies

Requirements

  • Top academic background: MBA degree or equivalent experience required
  • 5+ years experience in BD, Corporate Development, or Management Consulting
  • Prior experience in a business development capacity within the media/technology/gaming industry
  • Worked with large game developers/publishers, such as Nintendo, Epic, Twitch, Blizzard, and Valve.
  • Extensive database of gaming executives and the ability to network a must
  • Success in structuring large & complex deals and negotiating with C-Level stakeholders
  • Highly analytical & strategic thinker with knowledge of online business models
  • Worked within a highly entrepreneurial environment with a can-do attitude
  • Well-organized and able to prioritize among multiple projects with limited supervision. Strong work ethic and project ownership required
  • Experience managing a team of growing and motivated individuals that looks for strategic direction and mentorship while enjoying the job
  • Ready to travel (50%+)

Compensation is $120 - $150k
0.25% - 0.75% equity is offered
