We are looking for a Lead Product Manager to join our team working on a title in development based on James Cameron’s and Disney’s Avatar film franchise. You will be pivotal to our development process working in cross-functional pods to ensure features are delivered to quality and achieve targets set by you working in conjunction with the team and senior leadership. You will report to the Director of Product and be part of the Product Group across our Boundless Entertainment studio and Scopely. This role is for someone with extremely high drive and output that is excited about building a best-in-class strategy (4X/SLG) game.

What You Will Do:

  • Work with a cross-disciplinary team to deliver features and bring gameplay designs to life.
  • Be heavily involved in pre-production, contributing ideas and thoughts to the design, collaborating closely with your design partner to craft clear and concise documentation. Particular attention will need to be paid to how features will integrate seamlessly into the live operation of the game (economy, events, offers, customer support, etc.).
  • Help define feature goals, KPI targets, and what players will love about a feature. Work with the Analytics team to assess a feature’s (ongoing) success post-release.
  • Be a champion of the game vision and product strategy within your pod and act as a key connector between the development team and the game design.
  • Work with development teams to ensure features are built to specification and with world-class quality.
  • Be proactive and available for development teams, helping to answer questions, make decisions, and resolve concerns.
  • Constantly be reviewing the progress of the feature on device and maintain the team’s focus on the critical goals for the feature.
  • Help manage project stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Work with Production to define and prepare backlogs and sprints.
  • Attend Scrum Ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint kick-offs, sprint reviews, retrospectives, etc.).
  • Be acutely aware of our competitors and their gameplay designs and be able to articulate best-practices (and the logic behind them).

What You Will Need:

  • Extensive experience working directly with development teams.
  • Previous ownership of a game, or significant features on a game, throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with the strategy (4X/SLG) genre, ideally including prior experience in a feature development and/or live operations role.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience in Production, UX Design, and/or Game Design.
  • Experience working with remote team members and multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience working with a license holder / IP.
  • Technical or programming background.
