Rockstar NYC is on the lookout for talented IT Security professionals who possess a passion and commitment for keeping companies and industries safe from information security threats. It is a full-time permanent position based out of Rockstar’s unique game development studio in the heart of New York City.

WHAT WE DO

  • The Rockstar Security team is responsible for advancing the state of information security across the company globally in collaboration with numerous partners and stakeholders by prioritizing and executing security initiatives that drive down risk.
  • We strive to understand the threat landscape affecting our development studios, the gaming industry, and the world at large to define information security policies, standards and procedures safeguard our business and protect our players.
  • We lead efforts to build enterprise security controls ranging from endpoint protection technologies to security incident and event monitoring solutions.
  • We have a passion for identifying and remediating vulnerabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to developing, maintaining, and enforcing Rockstar’s information security policies, standards, and procedures across several different domains of technology.
  • Assist in the identification, prioritization and remediation of security vulnerabilities across a globally distributed infrastructure while working with a wide variety of people and roles across the broader Rockstar technology organization and other parts of the business.
  • Perform security assessments of new and existing technology systems to identify weaknesses and propose solutions to strengthen our security posture.
  • Assist in the development and execution of employee security awareness and training campaigns.
  • Partner with Take-Two technology teams to drive strategic cross-label security projects forward on behalf of Rockstar Games (e.g. Identify and Access Management, SIEM, Endpoint Security).
  • Support for incident response efforts alongside Rockstar’s Security Operations team.
  • Maintain knowledge of current security trends and be able to clearly interpret them into actionable advice for staff in various types of technical and non-technical roles.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management or a related field; industry certifications preferred (CISSP, CISA, CEH, GSEC, etc.).
  • 5+ years of experience running security-related activities within an IT organization.
  • Ability to apply technically oriented concepts to problem solving and engineering design.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and written.
  • Self-starter with the ability to motivate others.

SKILLS

  • Knowledge of enterprise security controls: IDS/IPS, SIEM, Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware, Next-Generation Firewalls, Application & Vulnerability Scanners, etc.
  • Deep understanding of Network Protocols & Enterprise Architecture with an ability to apply security concepts to design decisions.
  • Deep familiarity with the security of common infrastructure technologies that support a software development studio: Windows, Linux, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Visual Studio, Perforce (or distributed version control), VMware & enterprise virtualization, related storage, network, and server platforms.
  • Strong understanding of the principles of vulnerability management.

PLUSES

  • Experience with scripting and process automation.
  • Experience with penetration testing and offensive security techniques.
  • Industry certifications preferred (CISSP, GSEC, OSCP, CEH, etc.).
