The Finance team at Riot is dedicated to helping Riot's senior leadership make the best decisions for Players. Our team consists of experts from a variety of finance backgrounds with a shared focus on providing Riot leaders with an understanding of the financial impact of meaningful decisions. We are a critical part of long-term value creation for Riot.
As a Senior Finance Analyst, you will work with Rioters from APAC finance, other APAC functions, and broader Finance groups (e.g., Strat Fin, Accounting, Tax & Treasury) to execute strategy, improve systems and deliver best practices around FP&A. You will be responsible for supporting the region in ensuring that the region has a financial plan that aligns with the strategies of the region and Riot, has a detailed budget that enables the execution of that plan, and has financial and accounting systems / processes / modeling that ensure appropriate financial governance and optimise financial performance for the region and across Riot.
You will report to the Director of Strategic Finance Asia and work closely with regional finance leadership on developing and tracking against regional goals.
Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly P&L variance analysis & rolling forecasts, by country and by Business Units.
Lead monthly cost review with Team Leaders for all Business Units.
Lead annual budgeting process and quarterly re-forecasts for Business Units in the region.
Be able to provide effective solutions to stakeholders on budget matters.
Prepare monthly presentations outlining financial data with clear narrative for all Business Units.
Work closely with the Financial Operations team to ensure coding is consistent and accurate across the region.
Manage annual strategic planning and budgeting process for Business Units in the region.
Maintain management reports and dashboards to alert partners of variances, helping partners interpret the results and take appropriate actions to manage Riot's resources.
Engage with global finance teams to ensure we follow global reporting practices.
Actively identify cost savings opportunities across Business Units via rolling forecast exercise.
Identify ways to improve monthly processes such as budget allocations, headcount management, and validation, and engage with other business systems owners to collaborate on future process improvements.
Prepare ad hoc analyses and modeling to support strategic decisions.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and be an actively licensed CPA, Chartered Accountant or possess an equivalent accounting certification
8+ years experience in finance, planning & analysis in the Media / Tech industry preferred.
Experience working across multiple lines of business with a variety of complex products or services, all in an environment that is constantly changing is highly desired
Experience with Google Sheets or Excel (can maintain and perform functions in complex spreadsheets) and complex financial modeling to translate high-level input and ideas into financial or operating models
Comfortable moving between projects and facing uncertainty; can evolve and improve when facing uncertainty, risk, and change
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with business leaders and stakeholders and the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner
Experience working with other teammates in a growing and ever-evolving organization
