As Purchasing Manager, you will have visibility and involvement in nearly every phase of the purchasing process. You will be accountable for purchasing roles in meeting standards and controls, and for providing significant assistance with purchasing tasks, visibility, and resolving purchasing-related issues to the business teams.

The ideal candidate for the Purchasing Manager position is proactive, service-oriented, a problem solver, detail-oriented, and understands processes and the importance of solid communication.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the purchasing processes from start to finish, including vendor management, bidding, sourcing, and contract review, with a focus on cost savings and process improvements.

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business objectives and support sustainable growth.

  • Lead the purchasing process for all company departments, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures, and identifying potential risks and proposing new processes to mitigate these risks.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their requirements and ensure that procurement activities align with business needs, providing strategic advice and guidance as necessary.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors to ensure the best quality, price, and delivery of goods and services, negotiating favorable terms and conditions.

  • Develop the bidding process for major purchases and contribute to support the coordination with vendors to ensure a smooth process, utilizing best practices and market knowledge to achieve optimal results.

  • Implement and maintain procurement systems and processes, ensuring data integrity and accurate reporting.

  • Maintain a very detailed understanding of the purchasing process and how to navigate each step from budget approval to payment, with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency.

  • Participate in special projects as needed, which include but are not limited to evaluating current processes, supporting system testing, and providing input for strategic planning.

Requirements Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement

  • Demonstrated experience in taking ownership of complex issues and driving solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Ability to take the initiative and be responsible for a high level of accuracy in all job-related activities, with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other departments and teams.

  • Proficiency in procurement software and systems, with experience implementing and managing enterprise-level solutions.

  • In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and policies related to procurement and vendor management.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with procurement systems such as Oracle iProc or Coupa is preferred.

  • Experience in the video game industry and/or esports preferred.

  • Experience with vendor management and negotiations.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.

  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, Google Suite).

  • Experience creating RFPs and managing the bidding process.
